MG Majestor: MG’s Bold New SUV with Luxury and Off-Road Power
The MG Majestor is an upcoming flagship SUV from MG Motor designed to compete with popular full-size SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner. Built on a rugged ladder-frame platform, the Majestor focuses heavily on off-road capability while also offering luxury and advanced technology features. It is expected to become MG’s most premium diesel SUV in India.

Off-Roading Features
1. Advanced 4×4 System
The Majestor will offer a 4WD drivetrain that distributes power to all four wheels for better traction on mud, sand, or rocky terrain.

2. Triple Differential Lock
One of the most impressive features is the front, centre, and rear differential locks, which ensure all wheels receive equal torque even when one wheel loses grip.

3. Multiple Terrain Modes
The SUV is expected to offer around 10 terrain modes, including:
- Sand
- Mud
- Rock
- Snow
- Auto
These modes automatically adjust engine power, traction control, and braking to suit different surfaces.

4. Crawl Control
Crawl control maintains a steady low speed over rough surfaces, helping drivers navigate rocks and steep slopes without constantly using the accelerator.

5. High Ground Clearance
With around 219 mm ground clearance, the SUV can easily pass over rocks, bumps, and uneven surfaces.

6. Water Wading Capability
The Majestor is expected to handle deep water crossings, making it suitable for adventure driving and flooded roads.

Interior Design
The cabin adopts an all-black theme with leather upholstery, soft-touch materials, and versatile seating: a 6-seater with second-row captain’s chairs or 7-seater setup, both allowing folds and slides for third-row access. It’s spacious for families, with premium second-row and boot flexibility.[youtube +1]
Tech highlights a feature-rich layout with advanced safety systems, multiple screens, and comfort-focused elements like ventilated seats, though exact infotainment details emphasize a “tech-loaded” premium vibe. This setup prioritizes long-haul comfort alongside off-road utility.

Performance & Safety
The Majestor is powered by a 2.0L Twin-Turbo Diesel engine delivering 213–218 hp and 478 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Safety isn’t an afterthought, as the SUV features Level 2 ADAS, including:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Lane Keep Assist
- 360-degree HD Camera with a “transparent hood” view for technical trails.
Expected Launch & Price
- Expected Launch: April 2026 in India
- Expected Price: Around ₹40 lakh – ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on variant
- Bookings: Open with a token amount of about ₹41,000
The SUV will be positioned above the Gloster in MG’s lineup and directly rival premium SUVs in the ₹40-50 lakh segment.
